A Week with Nadia

I just wanted to title this post that after seeing the preview for the movie, A Week with Marilyn. It's a movie about Marilyn Monroe. I will Netflix it.

Anyhow, Nadia is 5 months and just growing and growing. I'm trying to do better with photos! Give me a second to get all of my life together and I will post more and more often!

Here a few pics from the past couple of weeks.

    Mix it Up

Mixing patterns will still be around for spring. You don't have to mix it up with your apparel, you can use bangles to slowly work your way up to the bold move! I say that because my younger sister n law is super stylish but she told me she was not ready to color block or mix patterns. This post is dedicated to her! Use printed bangles to add some sass or jazz to your print or color blocked dress. I am in love with the dress Michelle Obama wore to David Letterman. I got these photos of Michelle, Rihanna, and Tracee Ellis Ross from other blogs via Google images.

    Motivational Monday

Happy Monday people! I know I missed posting Thursday's Thirsts..... I apologize but this week's will be awesome! I am Soooooo over the "no shopping" thing. I went out with the Fam to the mall on Saturday and it took everything in me not to purchase for myself. I bought a few things for Nadia to fill the void.

I wanted her to take a picture with the Easter bunny but my sister n law felt that the one on site was scary looking instead of cute so we passed. We did not do much this weekend because I had to work. You know I really hate working on weekends even more now knowing I could be kicking it with the loves of my life.

Anyhow, I don't have a big speech on anything too thrilling this week. I just want to pass along the request to improve your vocabulary. I say this because I am finding that I am in using the basic words so much now, that I am forgetting what some of the more professional and enthralling words are far and in between. See how I threw enthralling in there!!! I hope I used it correctly! Lol!!!

Do you ever find yourself reaching for the right word?

Enjoy your week and my Word of the Days that I will be including at the end of each post this week!

    I Love LaLa

So did you watch the premiere of LaLa's Full Court Life? It's the new season. I am a big fan of LaLa Anthony's for her realism, her hard work, her loyalty to her family and friends, and her fashion! I just had to post some photos of her.

What do you think of Mrs. LaLa Anthony?

    Motivational Mondays

Happy Monday! First I want to say thanks for all of the positivity on Friday. I was ranting and I apologize! I took the post down because I do not want any visiting readers to get the wrong impression. Again thanks for the comments! I am all good.

One of my friends came to visit me this weekend and we got on the topic of people staying in bad conditions and not wanting more for themselves. We have some in contact with a lot if that mentality lately. For example, one who has not completed high school, has a job, can move up in the job, but refuses so they will not lose their welfare benefits. Or one who thinks that if you have a good profession and you are of African American culture, you act as if you are of the Caucasian descent. Someone told me that but in another format. What does that mean? "No one knows what it means!' They throw stones at you because you succeed and keep #winning.

Some of you may not experience these occurrences or may have never heard of them but I am here to tell you that it happens a lot. This is one of the reason I am so dying to move (there are many more i.e., we don't have a Neimans, Nordstroms, H&M, Cheesecake Factory, Pappadeuax. etc) I want to surround my self with prestige, educated humans, and inspiration. Is that wrong? Why go to school to further our education? Why move away from the ghetto we grew up in? Why want more out of life? I tell you why- because we can!! It is the way it should be. Evolution justifies it.... we are to keep persevering to get better and better. So put your all in to everything that you want to do and there is no reason you should have to dumb it down or feel bad for your success.

    What do you think?
